I believe that snapping photos of your family is really only half of my job! In order to craft your best-fit experience, I make it a priority to first learn about your unique home, your family dynamics, and your end goal for your portraits. We can chat all about those things when we connect via phone or text! After you book, I'll send you a comprehensive Session Prep Guide to help you know exactly what to expect for our session and how to set everyone up for success--including wardrobe ideas, baby/sibling prep tips, and lots of heirloom display inspiration. 

I want to help you envision your end products from day 1, because I so strongly believe in the importance of displaying photos of our kids and families throughout our spaces. It's not only impactful to us as parents, but just as impactful to our kids to physically see these images every single day.

I also know how overwhelming it can be to receive a gallery of 50+ digital images and no direction or guidance on what the heck to do with them! The options are endless, and it's so easy to just forget about all those pretty photos a few weeks after downloading them. I’d love to take care of the task of preserving and displaying your photos right off the bat, so that it’s one less thing you have to worry about in your postpartum haze. 

I won't be asking your family to sit and say cheese much - that’s not my primary goal. You’re going to sit and snuggle and look at your baby, your family. You are going to get images that exude love. Your child is going to look at these one day and clearly see how loved they were from day one. And I hope these images also help YOU see yourself the way your kids see you!

Another benefit to taking newborn photos in the comfort of your own space is that big siblings are far more likely to enjoy (and mostly cooperate for) taking a few shots with baby! They get to stay in their element, and I love how much that brings out their little personalities in photos. 

We will also prioritize all the little details of parenthood that mean the most to YOU. Rocking your little one, the nursery that you spent months decorating, your favorite tiny PJs you didn’t think a human could fit into; what are the little things that are special for you? Let's document them!

Sessions normally take around 2 hours, completely depending on how baby is feeling. I do not contort babies into any formal poses or incorporate photography props, and it's not necessary that baby stay sound asleep for our entire session. I will guide you through each moment of our time together, but ultimately the moods and needs of your unique family dictate the types of photos we take. My goal is truly for you to be fully present in the moment with your baby, not stressing about a single thing you have to do for once!  

Within a few days of your session, I will send you a proofing gallery to view! This will be in slideshow form initially, and will contain your complete gallery of images (for most sessions, you can expect 50-60 images to choose from). You'll then have the opportunity to upgrade your collection, if you decide you need them all! I'll fully retouch the images you choose to keep, then send them to you in a high resolution downloadable gallery soon after.

Along with your downloadable gallery, you'll also receive access to your online shop filled with gorgeous one-of-a-kind photo heirlooms available for ordering. I'll never pressure you to purchase products, but I hope you take advantage of the opportunity to enjoy tangible art created FOR you with your most loved images. It is truly priceless!

Your session will include 20 digital images that you will select from a proofing gallery soon after your session day. You will have the option to upgrade your gallery to include additional images as well as heirloom product credit, if desired! Sample heirloom products will be available to touch and feel immediately following your session.

ALL newborn sessions include access code to my online wardrobe styling service, my comprehensive session prep guide, use of my newborn client closet, and a full-length (up to two hours) session.
